Greeks
The Greeks gave the west their first dedicated history. Greeks live in city states. citizenship was limited to males. Greeks won the Persian wars. Life under the Athenians wasn't so good particularly if you were a slave or a woman, and the government was corrupt.

The Persian Achaemenid dynasty was found in 539 BCE by king Cyrus the great. The Zoroastrians didn't have slaves. King Cyrus the great conquered most of Mesopotamia. Life under the Persians was pretty good
