Stroma

There are two types of photosynthesis. There are light independent and light dependent. The light dependent reactions are called the Calvin cycle, almost all life on our planet is fusion power the Calvin cycle is sometimes called Dark reactions. They don't need energy from photons, the Calvin cycle starts in the Stroma. It's better to call it light independent then dark reactions. Plants increased the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere. A photon is created by the fusion reactions of our sun.
